Programs: Illustrator, Photoshop
Problem: There were two problems to this assignment. First , pen and ink out designs using shapes and lines , then mimic the design using type. This was all done by hand without the advantages of the computer.
Second , the class was given an ad for an upcoming event at the Walker Art Museum and then was asked to redesign the ad only using type. However , there were certain limitation s placed on each design: no kerning, only left, right, or center alignment, no font bigger then 16pt ., etc.
Concept: Have fun and be experimental with each design.
